I think itโs safe to say it now, ya? We have a new president-elect here in the good olโ U.S. of A: Donald J. Trump.
In one of the wildest comeback stories since the Mighty Ducks, Trump is all but set to take office this coming January.
We know you must have many questions; so do we, and likely the rest of the world at the moment.
So, letโs dive in.
๐ The S&P 500 had its best post-election day in history today (+2.53%).

First, howโd he do it, and how so quickly? The swing states.
For those unaware, swing states are states in the U.S. where no single political party or candidate has overwhelming support, which makes them highly competitive in elections.
This year, the key swing states included:
Arizona
Georgia
Michigan
Nevada
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
Wisconsin
By last night, Trump had already secured North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and is well on his way to potentially winning Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona.
That was not supposed to happen, and definitely not this quickly.
Iโm still in shock, not gonna lie.

Many analysts thought these states would be highly competitive and that we wouldnโt see results from them for a while.
Especially because Donald Trump lost nearly all these key swing states in the 2020 election.
He flipped the entire electoral map on its head. I wonder where all this support came from.
Who voted for him this time, or more importantly, didnโt vote for Kamala?
๐ฌ In 2020, Donald Trump lost: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin.
Letโs go through some more numbers, shall we?

Hispanic Voters: Trump got 45% of the Hispanic vote (vs. 32% in 2020). ๐

So, what now? Hereโs the schedule for the next few months, which Iโm going to present like a counselor in summer camp:
Late November - Early December 2024: States finalize and certify election results.
December 17, 2024: The Electoral College meets to cast votes for president and vice president.
Early January 2025: Congress counts electoral votes in a joint session and declares the official results.
January 20, 2025: Inauguration Day; the president-elect is formally sworn in.
I just have three things to say: God bless America, God bless our troops, and gentlemen, start your engines!
๐ Notable benefactors of the Trump win were up big today: Tesla (+14.75%), Robinhood (+19.63%), Trump Media & Technology (+5.94%), Bitcoin (+6.26%).
